Avanto Right Tail (ART) is a hedge fund that seeks asymmetric opportunities with extreme upside in global listed markets. The strategy is based on Nassim Taleb's insight that extreme events are systematically underestimated, but flips it on its head: instead of protecting against extreme downturns, we hunt for extreme upturns. We invest our own money in ART alongside our investors.
ART Investment Philosophy
ART looks for situations where the upside is far greater than the downside: niche markets where the market misunderstands or lags behind, where institutional capital hasn't yet found its way in, or where too many investors have positioned themselves on the same side. What they share is a triggering event, such as a regulatory change, a technological breakthrough, or a shift in capital flows, that can rapidly change the market's valuation.

ART is a high-risk, high-potential-return fund open to experienced investors. If you're looking for a fund that delivers a few percentage points above a benchmark index with low volatility, this isn't the right fund for you.
